Training at scale

Erion is a non-profit multi-consortium system for waste management. How do you spark interest in AI while levelling out widely varying levels of knowledge across the entire workforce?

Context

The problem

How do you spark interest in AI among all employees, levelling out widely varying levels of knowledge, through structured, progressive training at scale?

It was necessary to design a programme capable of covering the entire workforce without leaving anyone behind - and without boring those who were already ahead. The challenge was finding a format that worked for both.

"We didn't want the usual training. We wanted something that would really work for everyone."
Approach

The solution

A two-level training programme - Basic and Pro - split across 4 mixed-ability classes, with interactive sessions and a dedicated LAB for experimentation and personalised coaching.

The mixed-ability classes enabled more targeted learning, respecting the different starting points.
The interactive sessions with hands-on exercises encouraged discussion and immediate application of AI tools.
The experimentation LAB gave more advanced participants room to explore real use cases, with dedicated coaching.

Impact

The results

The entire workforce engaged through a progressive approach that respected the different starting points and brought AI into concrete workflows.

The LAB generated ideas that could be applied immediately. The final coaching consolidated skills and opened up new directions for adoption. Erion now has a team that knows how to use AI - and knows when not to.

The tiered programme made all the difference: those who were already curious could go deeper, and those starting from scratch didn't feel lost.
